Bhakti-Śraddhā-Ācāra-Māhātmya and the Commencement of the Mārkaṇḍeya Narrative
śrībhagavānuvāca | satyatpruktaṃ tvayā brahmānprītī'smi tava paṇḍita | maddarśanaṃ hi viphalaṃ na kadācidbhaviṣyati || 95 ||
Tuhan Yang Maha Mulia bersabda: “Wahai Brahmana, benar apa yang engkau ucapkan. Wahai orang pandai, Aku berkenan kepadamu. Sesungguhnya, memandang-Ku tidak pernah sia-sia—tidak pada bila-bila masa.”
Sri Bhagavan (Vishnu)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares Bhagavan’s assurance that true words and sincerity please Him, and that His darśana inevitably yields spiritual fruit—strengthening faith in divine grace (anugraha).
By emphasizing that Bhagavan responds to truthful, sincere devotion and that encountering Him (darśana) is never wasted, the verse reinforces bhakti as a direct, result-bearing path.
The verse mainly highlights dharmic speech (satya-vacana) rather than a specific Vedāṅga; practically, it teaches disciplined truthful utterance as a foundational observance supporting mantra, worship, and devotional practice.
