Yajñamālī–Sumālī Upākhyāna: Merit-Transfer through Temple Plastering (Lepa) and the Redemption of a Sinner
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It declares the purifying supremacy of Vishnu-bhakti: devotion expressed as Hari-puja and absorption in Hari-nama is said to free even a mahāpātakin from sin.
Bhakti is presented as practical and transformative—through worship (pūjā) and name-absorption (nāma-rati), the devotee becomes inwardly purified and fit for liberation-oriented life.
Ritual practice is implied through pūjā (kalpa/ācāra), and disciplined recitation of the divine name points to correct utterance and repetition (śikṣā—phonetics; vyākaraṇa—word-form awareness) as supports for nāma-japa.
