Prāyaścitta for Mahāpātakas and the Sin-destroying Power of Viṣṇu-smaraṇa

परस्वानामुपादानं स्तेयमित्युच्यते बुधैः । सुवर्णस्य प्रमाणं तु मन्वाद्यैः परिभाषितम् ॥ ३४ ॥

parasvānāmupādānaṃ steyamityucyate budhaiḥ | suvarṇasya pramāṇaṃ tu manvādyaiḥ paribhāṣitam || 34 ||

Orang bijaksana berkata: mengambil harta milik orang lain disebut kecurian. Adapun piawaian yang tepat untuk menimbang emas telah ditetapkan oleh Manu dan para penggubal dharma yang lain.
