Gṛhastha-nitya-karman: Śauca, Sandhyā-vidhi, Pañca-yajña, and Āśrama-krama
भवेत्रिषवणस्नायी नखश्मश्रुजटाधरः । अधः शायी ब्रह्मचारी पञ्चयज्ञपरायणः ॥ ८६ ॥
bhavetriṣavaṇasnāyī nakhaśmaśrujaṭādharaḥ | adhaḥ śāyī brahmacārī pañcayajñaparāyaṇaḥ || 86 ||
Hendaklah ia mandi pada tiga waktu sandhyā setiap hari, membiarkan kuku (dan rambut) serta janggut tidak dipotong, dan memakai rambut berjuntaian (jaṭā). Hendaklah ia tidur di tanah, hidup sebagai brahmacārī, serta tekun pada pañca-yajña, lima korban suci harian.
