Varṇāśrama-ācāra: Common Virtues, Varṇa Duties, and the Four Āśramas
देवराच्च सुतोत्पत्तिर्मधुपर्के पशोर्वधः । मांसादनं तथा श्राद्धे वानप्रस्थाश्रमस्तथा ॥ १४ ॥
devarācca sutotpattirmadhuparke paśorvadhaḥ | māṃsādanaṃ tathā śrāddhe vānaprasthāśramastathā || 14 ||
Mendapatkan putera melalui devara (adik lelaki suami), penyembelihan haiwan bagi persembahan madhuparka, memakan daging dalam upacara śrāddha, dan juga disiplin āśrama vānaprastha (penghuni rimba)—semuanya hendaklah difahami menurut konteks ritual yang telah ditetapkan.
