Pada paruh terang bulan Phālguna, pada hari Dvādaśī, setelah berpuasa (upavāsa) dengan sempurna, orang yang berikrar hendaklah memuja Tuhan sepenuhnya sambil mengucap: “Sembah sujud kepada-Mu, wahai Govinda.”
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It teaches that devotion becomes especially potent when joined with vrata (disciplined observance): fasting on Dvādaśī and offering complete worship while surrendering through the simple salutation to Govinda.
Bhakti is shown as accessible and mantra-centered: the devotee fasts, then worships with the heartfelt address “Govindāya namaḥ,” emphasizing personal surrender and reverence to Vishnu.
It reflects Jyotiṣa/Vedāṅga time-reckoning (Pañcāṅga practice): observing a rite by lunar month (Phālguna), fortnight (Śukla-pakṣa), and tithi (Dvādaśī) as the correct ritual timing.
