Dharmopadeśa-Śānti: Rules of Impurity, Expiations, and Ancestor Rites
पीत्वा सकृत्सुतत्पं च पञ्चरात्रं कुशोदकम् । गुरुतल्पगतो कुर्याद्रबाह्मणो विधिवद्रूतम् ॥ ३७ ॥
pītvā sakṛtsutatpaṃ ca pañcarātraṃ kuśodakam | gurutalpagato kuryādrabāhmaṇo vidhivadrūtam || 37 ||
Brahmin yang jatuh ke dalam dosa melanggar ranjang guru, setelah sekali meminum ramuan yang dipanaskan bersama anak lelakinya, lalu selama lima malam meminum air yang disucikan dengan rumput kuśa, hendaklah melaksanakan nazar penebusan yang ditetapkan menurut tata cara.

Though primarily a Dharma/prāyaścitta instruction, it indirectly supports Bhakti by insisting on inner and outer purification; such purification is presented in Purāṇic teaching as a prerequisite for steady worship and remembrance of the divine.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-style discipline) is implied: the regulated use of kuśa for sanctification, time-counting of nights (pañcarātra), and performance of a specified vrata according to injunction (vidhi).
