परेश परमानन्द परमात्मन्परात्पर । सर्वात्मने जगन्मूर्त्ते प्रमाणातीत ते नमः ॥ ८५ ॥
pareśa paramānanda paramātmanparātpara | sarvātmane jaganmūrtte pramāṇātīta te namaḥ || 85 ||
Sembah sujud kepada-Mu—wahai Tuhan Yang Maha Tinggi, Kebahagiaan Tertinggi, Ātman Tertinggi yang melampaui segala yang melampaui. Sembah sujud kepada-Mu, yang menjadi Diri bagi semua, yang berwujud alam semesta, dan yang melampaui segala sarana pembuktian.

It presents the Supreme as both transcendent (parātpara, pramāṇātīta) and immanent (sarvātman, jaganmūrti), guiding the devotee toward liberation through reverent surrender and right vision of the Divine.
Bhakti is expressed here as stuti and namas—humble salutation to Vishnu as the all-pervading Self—where devotion is grounded in recognizing God as the universe’s inner reality and highest refuge.
The verse alludes to pramāṇa (valid means of knowledge), a key concern of śāstric reasoning; it teaches that while Vedic study supports understanding, the Supreme ultimately transcends all epistemic instruments.
