Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 146

Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna

दारिद्याम्बुधिमग्नस्य सर्वमेतन्न शोभते । प्रियाः पुत्राश्चपौत्राश्च बान्धवा भ्रातरस्तथा ॥ ४६ ॥

dāridyāmbudhimagnasya sarvametanna śobhate | priyāḥ putrāścapautrāśca bāndhavā bhrātarastathā || 46 ||

Bagi orang yang tenggelam dalam lautan kemiskinan, tiadalah semua ini tampak layak—baik yang dikasihi, anak dan cucu, kaum kerabat, bahkan saudara sekalipun.
