The Origin of the Gaṅgā and the Gods’ Defeat Caused by Bali

सुरासुरविनिर्मुक्तबाणनिष्पेषजानले । अकालप्रलयं मेने निरीक्ष्य सकलं जगत् ॥ १८ ॥

surāsuravinirmuktabāṇaniṣpeṣajānale | akālapralayaṃ mene nirīkṣya sakalaṃ jagat || 18 ||

Melihat seluruh jagat menyala oleh api yang tercetus daripada hentaman dan remukan anak panah yang dilepaskan oleh para Deva dan Asura, dia menyangka bahawa pralaya—peleburan kosmos—telah datang sebelum waktunya.
