Śokanivāraṇa: Non-brooding, Impermanence, Contentment, and Śuka’s Renunciation

दुःखोपघाते शारीरे मानसे चाप्युपस्थिते । यस्मिन्न शक्यते कर्तुं यत्नस्तन्नानुर्चितयेत् ॥ ९ ॥

duḥkhopaghāte śārīre mānase cāpyupasthite | yasminna śakyate kartuṃ yatnastannānurcitayet || 9 ||

Apabila penderitaan muncul—pada tubuh atau pada minda—jika dalam keadaan itu tiada usaha pemulihan yang benar-benar dapat dilakukan, maka janganlah mengulang-ulangnya dalam fikiran.
