ज्योतिश्चात्मनि नान्यत्र रत्नं तत्रैव चैव तत् । स्वयं च शक्यं तद्द्रष्टुं सुसमाहितर्चतसा ॥ २८ ॥
jyotiścātmani nānyatra ratnaṃ tatraiva caiva tat | svayaṃ ca śakyaṃ taddraṣṭuṃ susamāhitarcatasā || 28 ||
Cahaya itu berada dalam Ātman dan bukan di tempat lain; permata itu juga hanya di sana. Dan ia dapat disaksikan sendiri oleh orang yang bersembah dengan minda yang terhimpun sempurna, penuh tumpuan.

It teaches that liberation is grounded in direct inner realization: the true “light” and the priceless “jewel” are not external objects but the Atman itself, discoverable within.
Bhakti here is expressed as arcana performed with deep one-pointedness (su-samāhita). Such inwardly focused worship purifies attention and culminates in direct “seeing” (draṣṭum) of the indwelling Reality.
The verse emphasizes practical discipline rather than a specific Vedanga: mental steadiness (samādhāna) as the core method—aligning ritual worship (arcana) with meditative concentration for inner realization.
