एकादिक्रमतश्चैकानुपर्य्युपरि विन्यसेत् । उपांत्यतो निवर्तेत त्यजन्नेकैकमूर्द्धतः ॥ १८ ॥
ekādikramataścaikānuparyyupari vinyaset | upāṃtyato nivarteta tyajannekaikamūrddhataḥ || 18 ||
Dengan meletakkannya satu demi satu menurut tertib menaik, hendaklah ia menyusunnya berturut-turut semakin tinggi. Kemudian, bermula dari yang kedua terakhir, hendaklah ia berundur—meninggalkan setiap satu, setahap demi setahap, dari ubun-ubun kepala.
