क्रियणतौलिकर्काद्या मेषादिषु नवांशकाः । स्वभाद्द्वादशभागेशाः षड्र्गं राशिपूर्वकम् ॥ ५ ॥
kriyaṇataulikarkādyā meṣādiṣu navāṃśakāḥ | svabhāddvādaśabhāgeśāḥ ṣaḍrgaṃ rāśipūrvakam || 5 ||
Bagi Mesha dan tanda-tanda lain, navāṁśa bermula dengan urutan Kriya, Tauli, Karka dan seterusnya. Bagi dvādaśāṁśa (dua belas bahagian), para pemerintah bermula dari tanda sendiri. Demikianlah ṣaḍ-varga (enam varga) hendaklah disusun, bermula dengan rāśi.
