Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
Narada (teaching in a Jyotisha/Vedanga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka (fear)
Secondary Rasa: karuna (compassion)
It emphasizes that karmic outcomes can manifest through time (kāla) and planetary conditions, urging the practitioner to live dharmically and seek protective, sattvic conduct and prayer rather than negligence.
Though the verse is technical (Jyotisha), its implied response within a Purāṇic framework is reliance on divine shelter—turning to Bhagavān through prayer, purity, and dharmic living when facing feared outcomes.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: the rule that when Lagna and the Moon are hemmed between malefics (a pāpa-hemmed/“kartari” type affliction), it signifies serious danger, here applied specifically to pregnancy-related risk.
