निशींदुकुजसौराश्च सर्वदा क्षोह्नि चापरे । क्रूराः कृष्णे सिते सौम्याः मतं कालबलं बुधैः ॥ ३० ॥
niśīṃdukujasaurāśca sarvadā kṣohni cāpare | krūrāḥ kṛṣṇe site saumyāḥ mataṃ kālabalaṃ budhaiḥ || 30 ||
Malam, Bulan, Marikh dan Zuhal dianggap sentiasa keras; dan sebahagian yang lain juga menjadi keras apabila pengaruhnya terganggu. Dalam kṛṣṇa-pakṣa (paruh gelap), ia dinilai lebih ganas, manakala dalam śukla-pakṣa (paruh terang) ia dinilai lebih lembut—demikian pandangan para bijaksana tentang kekuatan Masa (kāla-bala).
