शेषं कंदपदंतस्माद्भुजज्या कोटिरेव च । गताद्भुजज्याविषमे गम्यात्कोटिः पदे भवेत् ॥ ९५ ॥
śeṣaṃ kaṃdapadaṃtasmādbhujajyā koṭireva ca | gatādbhujajyāviṣame gamyātkoṭiḥ pade bhavet || 95 ||
Daripada baki itu, tolak «kandapada» (terma akar); maka diperoleh «bhujajyā» (sin) dan «koṭi» (kos). Dalam keadaan tidak sama bagi sin yang telah dilalui, kos hendaklah ditentukan pada langkah (pada) yang sepadan.
