Jyotiṣa-śāstra Saṅgraha: Threefold Division, Gaṇita Methods, Muhūrta, and Planetary Reckoning

स्वोदयात्सुहता भक्ता भक्तभोग्याः स्वमानतः । अभिष्टधटिकासुभ्यो भोग्यासून्प्रविशोधयेत् ॥ १४९ ॥

svodayātsuhatā bhaktā bhaktabhogyāḥ svamānataḥ | abhiṣṭadhaṭikāsubhyo bhogyāsūnpraviśodhayet || 149 ||

Sejak saat bangkit yang bertuah bagi diri, seorang bhakta—menundukkan indera dan menahan diri—hendaklah menyucikan prāṇa (tenaga hayat) yang akan dipersembahkan bagi kenikmatan bhakti, dengan sela masa yang diukur menurut kehendak (muhūrta/ghaṭikā).
