स्वदेशचरखंडोना भवंतीष्टोदयासवः । व्यस्ताव्यस्तैर्युतास्तैस्तैः कर्कटाद्यास्ततस्तु यः ॥ १४७ ॥

Transliteration

svadeśacarakhaṃḍonā bhavaṃtīṣṭodayāsavaḥ | vyastāvyastairyutāstaistaiḥ karkaṭādyāstatastu yaḥ || 147 ||

Translation

Di wilayah sendiri, ukuran kenaikan (masa terbit) ditentukan menurut pembahagian setempat dan pembetulan yang perlu. Kemudian, dengan menggabungkannya melalui susunan tertentu yang langsung dan songsang, diperoleh hasil bermula dari Karkaṭa (Cancer) dan tanda-tanda zodiak yang lain.
