Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 57

Vyākaraṇa-saṅgraha: Pada–Vibhakti–Kāraka–Lakāra–Samāsa

कविकल्पः कविदेश्यः प्रकारवचने तथा । पटुजातीयः कुत्सायां वैद्यपाशः प्रशंसने ॥ ५७ ॥

kavikalpaḥ kavideśyaḥ prakāravacane tathā | paṭujātīyaḥ kutsāyāṃ vaidyapāśaḥ praśaṃsane || 57 ||

Ungkapan “kavikalpa” dan “kavideśya” digunakan dalam erti menerangkan suatu cara atau ragam (prakāra). Demikian juga, “paṭu-jātīya” dipakai ketika menyampaikan celaan, sedangkan “vaidya-pāśa” dipakai ketika menyampaikan pujian.
