गुण प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानां प्रवृत्तिः कर्मचोदिता । प्रवर्तंते गुणाश्चैते किं ममेति त्वयोदितम् ॥ ५ ॥
guṇa pravṛttirbhūtānāṃ pravṛttiḥ karmacoditā | pravartaṃte guṇāścaite kiṃ mameti tvayoditam || 5 ||
Perbuatan makhluk hanyalah gerak-geri guṇa, dan gerak itu didorong oleh karma. Guṇa-guṇa inilah yang terus berfungsi—maka bagaimana mungkin dakwaan “ini milikku” dapat ditegakkan, sebagaimana engkau katakan?
