Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights dharma in the disciple–guru relationship: learning is completed by gratitude and responsibility, expressed through guru-dakṣiṇā.
Though not directly naming Vishnu-bhakti, it supports bhakti’s foundation—humility, service, and sincerity—by honoring the guru as the conduit of sacred knowledge.
It reflects ritual-ethical discipline (ācāra) connected with Vedic study: the customary completion of instruction through guru-dakṣiṇā, a key practice surrounding śikṣā and adhyayana.
