अनिष्पन्नक्रियं चेतस्तथा न मम किं यथा । इत्थं तु चिंतयन्नेव सम्मार स महीपतिः ॥ ६५ ॥
aniṣpannakriyaṃ cetastathā na mama kiṃ yathā | itthaṃ tu ciṃtayanneva sammāra sa mahīpatiḥ || 65 ||
“Hatiku tidak mampu menyempurnakan apa-apa tekad; ia sama sekali tidak berada di bawah kendaliku.” Berfikir demikian berulang-ulang, raja itu pun jatuh ke dalam kekeliruan dan keputusasaan.
