Matsya Purana — Śiva–Pārvatī Quarrel and Pārvatī’s Resolve for Austerity to Attain Gaurī-hood, Shloka 28

उन्नाम्य वदनं देवी दक्षिणेन तु पाणिना उवाच वीरकं माता शोकं पुत्रक मा कृथाः //

unnāmya vadanaṃ devī dakṣiṇena tu pāṇinā uvāca vīrakaṃ mātā śokaṃ putraka mā kṛthāḥ //

Dengan tangan kanannya, sang ibu yang laksana dewi mengangkat wajahnya lalu berkata kepada Vīraka: “Wahai anakku, janganlah engkau tenggelam dalam dukacita.”
