सत्येन ब्रह्मचर्येण श्रुतेन तपसा तथा तेषां सुतप्ततपसाम् आर्षेणानुक्रमेण ह //
satyena brahmacaryeṇa śrutena tapasā tathā teṣāṃ sutaptatapasām ārṣeṇānukrameṇa ha //
Dengan kebenaran, dengan disiplin brahmacarya, dengan pembelajaran suci (śruti), dan juga dengan tapas (pertapaan)—demikianlah, bagi para resi yang telah menjalankan pertapaan yang menyala-nyala, kesinambungan mereka dipelihara menurut susunan yang tepat dalam garis ṛṣi.
