Adhyaya 92 — Devi’s Assurance of Protection and the Fruits of Reciting the Devi Mahatmyam

Fearlessness is presented as a cultivated state arising from śravaṇa (hearing) of sacred narrative—internalizing the Devī’s victories reshapes the listener’s response to conflict and adversity.
Though the Purāṇa contains cosmology and dynasties elsewhere, this verse is devotional-liturgy (phalaśruti) rather than sarga/manvantara material.
‘Battles’ can denote both outer warfare and inner struggle with passions; the Devī’s ‘utpatti’ stories function as archetypal energies that awaken courage and steadiness.
