Adhyaya 91 — The Gods’ Hymn to Kātyāyanī and the Goddess’ Prophecy of Future Manifestations

The ‘saumya face’ teaches that divine power is not only terrifying in battle but also compassionate; devotion seeks inner fearlessness through contemplating the benevolent aspect of the same supreme force.
A stotra passage within an ākhyāna; it functions as upāsanā (devotional contemplation) rather than cosmological or genealogical material.
The three eyes symbolize mastery over past-present-future (or the three guṇas); meditating on Devī’s ‘face’ implies turning consciousness toward the source that illumines and transcends time.
