Adhyaya 90 — The Slaying of Shumbha and the Reabsorption of the Goddesses into Ambika
दिव्यान्यस्त्राणि शतशो मुमुचे यान्यथाम्बिका । बभञ्ज तानि दैत्येन्द्रस्तत्प्रतीघातकर्तृभिः ॥
divyānyastrāṇi śataśo mumuce yānyathāmbikā / babhañja tāni daityendrastatpratīghātakartṛbhiḥ
Dan apa jua peluru senjata ilahi yang dilepaskan Ambika beratus-ratus, penguasa kaum Daitya menghancurkannya semuanya dengan senjatanya sendiri yang mampu menangkisnya.
The verse illustrates the resilience of negative forces (the ego/Daitya) which possess the capacity to counter divine interventions initially, requiring the Goddess to escalate her power.
This falls under the Manvantara characteristic, specifically the narrative describing the rise of the 8th Manu, Savarni, through the glorification of the Goddess.
