विश्वामित्र उवाच ।

चण्डालोऽयमनल्पं ते दातुं वित्तमुपस्थितः ।

कस्मान्न दीयते मह्यमशेषा यज्ञदक्षिणा ॥

kasmān na dīyate mahyam aśeṣā yajñadakṣiṇā ||
