Adhyaya 8 — Harishchandra’s Trial: Truth, the Sale of Family, and Bondage to a Chandala
श्वपाकार्हमतो मोहं जगामायतलोचना ।
प्राप्य चेतश्च शनकैः सगद्गदमभाषत ॥
śvapākārham ato mohaṃ jagāmāyata-locanā |
prāpya cetaś ca śanakaiḥ sa-gadgadam abhāṣata ||
Maka wanita bermata luas itu jatuh ke dalam kebingungan apabila melihat baginda seolah-olah layak menerima nasib seorang caṇḍāla. Sedikit demi sedikit beliau sedar semula, lalu berkata dengan suara tersekat-sekat.
