Adhyaya 62The Fire-God Enters the Brahmin Youth; Varuthini’s Love-Sickness and Kali’s Disguise

कलिरुवाच किं करोमि क्रियाहानिर्भवत्यत्र सतो मम ।

त्वमप्येवंविधं वाक्यं ब्रवीषि तनुमध्यमे ॥

kalir uvāca kiṃ karomi kriyā-hānir bhavaty atra sato mama | tvam apy evaṃ-vidhaṃ vākyaṃ bravīṣi tanumadhyame ||

Kali berkata: “Apakah yang harus aku lakukan? Di sini, bagiku—yang sebaliknya berpegang pada kebenaran—timbul kerugian pada perbuatan dan upacara yang semestinya. Dan engkau juga, wahai yang berpinggang ramping, berkata-kata demikian!”
