एतेषु गोचरोऽस्माकं बुद्धेर् ब्राह्मणसत्तम ।

प्रतिज्ञान्तु समारोढुं तथापि न हि शक्नुमः ॥

eteṣu gocaro ’smākaṃ buddher brāhmaṇa-sattama | pratijñāntu samāroḍhuṃ tathāpi na hi śaknumaḥ ||

“Wahai brāhmaṇa yang terbaik, perkara-perkara ini berada dalam jangkauan pemahaman kami; namun demikian, kami tidak mampu menegakkan (yakni memelihara dan menunaikan) nazar yang telah kami ikrarkan.”
