Adhyaya 37 — Cycle of Rebirth

The verse links human flourishing (śreyas) to liberation-intent (mumukṣā) and identifies its practical cause: proximity to the wise. Ethical life becomes oriented by the goal one repeatedly contemplates.
This is narrative-ethical instruction supporting the Purāṇa’s teaching function; it is not itself a sarga/pratisarga/manvantara/vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita passage.
Repeated contemplation is shown as a samskāra-forming practice: the mind’s question (‘how to attain śreyas’) matures into mumukṣā, catalyzed by the subtle influence-field of realized company.
