Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
तर्जन्यङ्गुष्ठयोरन्तः पैत्र्यं तीर्थमुदाहृतम् । पितॄणां तेन तोयादि दद्याद् नान्दीमुखादृते ॥
tarjanyaṅguṣṭhayorantaḥ paitryaṃ tīrthamudāhṛtam | pitṝṇāṃ tena toyādi dadyānnāndīmukhādṛte ||
Ruang di antara jari telunjuk dan ibu jari dinyatakan sebagai paitṛya-tīrtha. Dengan tīrtha itu, hendaklah dipersembahkan air dan seumpamanya kepada para Pitṛ (leluhur), kecuali dalam upacara Nāndīmukha.
