Adhyaya 31Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure

अप्राप्तौ तद्दिने चापि वर्ज्या योषित्प्रसङ्गिनः ।

भिक्षार्थमागतान् वापि काले संयमिनो यतीन् ॥

aprāptau taddine cāpi varjyā yoṣitprasaṅginaḥ | bhikṣārthamāgatān vāpi kāle saṃyamino yatīn ||

Jika tetamu yang dijemput tidak datang, maka pada hari itu juga hendaklah dijauhi mereka yang terikat pada perempuan. Namun para pertapa yang mengawal diri, yang datang pada waktu yang wajar untuk meminta sedekah, boleh dilayani dengan sewajarnya.
