Adhyaya 28Alarka Inquires into Varna and Ashrama Dharma; Madalasa Defines the Fourfold Duties

एष धर्मो गृहस्थस्य ऋतावभिगमस्तथा ।

पञ्चयज्ञविधानन्तु यथाशक्त्या न हापयेत् ॥

eṣa dharmo gṛhasthasya ṛtāv abhigamas tathā /

pañcayajñavidhānaṃ tu yathāśaktyā na hāpayet //

Inilah dharma bagi seorang penghuni rumah (gṛhastha)—termasuk juga mendekati pasangan pada musim yang wajar. Dan amalan lima korban suci (pañca-yajña) yang ditetapkan janganlah diabaikan, setakat kemampuan diri.
