Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
द्रष्टुं कुवलयाश्वं तमिच्छामीति पुनः पुनः ।
ततः कुवलयाश्वोऽसौ समुत्थाय वरासनात् ।
यथाह तातेति वदन् प्रणाममकरोद्भुवि ॥
draṣṭuṃ kuvalayāśvaṃ tam icchāmīti punaḥ punaḥ / tataḥ kuvalayāśvo 'sau samutthāya varāsanāt / yathāha tāteti vadan praṇāmam akarod bhuvi
“(Mereka berkata,) ‘Kami ingin melihat Kuvalayāśva,’ berulang-ulang. Lalu Kuvalayāśva bangkit dari singgahsana yang mulia, dan berkata, ‘Demikianlah, wahai yang dikasihi,’ lalu ia bersujud menyentuh bumi.”
