Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
कामञ्चेममभिध्याय कुरु त्वं पितृतर्पणम् ।
तत्क्षणादेव सा सुभ्रूः श्वसतो मध्यमात्फणात् ॥
kāmañ cemam abhidhyāya kuru tvaṃ pitṛtarpaṇam | tatkṣaṇād eva sā subhrūḥ śvasato madhyamāt phaṇāt ||
“Dengan niat ini dalam ingatan, lakukanlah tarpaṇa kepada para leluhur (pitṛ-tarpaṇa), yakni persembahan libasi. Pada saat itu juga, ketika engkau bernafas, wanita yang bermata-bening itu akan bangkit dari hud tengahmu.”
