Adhyaya 22 — Kuvalayashva’s Death through Daitya-Deceit and Madalasa’s Self-Immolation
तालकेतुरुवाच वीरः कुवलयाश्वो 'सौ ममाश्रमसमीपतः ।
केनापि दुष्टदैत्येन कुर्वन् रक्षां तपस्विनाम् ॥
tālaketuruvāca vīraḥ kuvalayāśvo 'sau mamāśramasamīpataḥ | kenāpi duṣṭadaityena kurvan rakṣāṃ tapasvinām ||
Tālāketu berkata: “Wira Kuvalayāśva berada dekat pertapaanku, melindungi para pertapa; namun kerana suatu daitya yang jahat…”
