Adhyaya 10 — Jaimini’s Questions on Birth, Death, Karma, and the Embodied Journey
प्रयान्त्याशु विमानानि नानादिव्यास्त्रगुज्ज्वलाः ।
तस्माच्च प्रच्युता राज्ञामन्येषां च महात्मनाम् ॥
prayānty āśu vimānāni nānādivyāstragujjvalāḥ | tasmāc ca pracyutā rājñām anyeṣāṃ ca mahātmanām ||
Dengan segera datanglah kereta udara (vimāna), bersinar dengan pelbagai kalungan dan perhiasan ilahi; dan dari keadaan surgawi itu, raja-raja serta insan berhati besar, apabila pahala mereka habis, jatuh kembali.

Even exalted rewards are impermanent: svarga is enjoyed until puṇya is spent, after which descent occurs. This encourages pursuit of enduring aims (mokṣa) beyond merely accruing merit for pleasure.

The ‘vimāna’ motif can symbolize elevated states of consciousness gained by virtuous tendencies; ‘falling’ indicates the return of the jīva to embodied limitation when supportive causes are depleted.
