Adhyaya 10 — Svayambhuva Manvantara
पुत्र उवाच शृणु तात ! यथा वृत्तं ममेदं सुख-दुःखदम् ।
यश्चाहमासमन्यस्मिन् जन्मन्यस्मत्परन्तु यत् ॥
putra uvāca śṛṇu tāta yathā vṛttaṃ mamedaṃ sukha-duḥkha-dam | yaś cāham āsam anyasmin janmany asmat parantu yat ||
Anak itu berkata: Dengarlah, wahai ayah, bagaimana hal ini terjadi padaku—membawa sekaligus suka dan duka—dan siapakah aku dalam kelahiran yang lain, berbeza daripada yang ini.
