Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds how social and martial institutions reward visible success: eminent warriors publicly validate a deed with ‘sādhu sādhu’. It invites reflection on the difference between acclaim for effectiveness in war and the subtler evaluation of an act by dharma.

Vaiśampāyana reports that Droṇa, Bhīṣma, Karṇa, and Kṛpa—leading warriors—voice approval and formally commend ‘that deed of his’, signaling collective endorsement by the Kaurava-side elders and commanders.
