द्रोणस्य पुडुखसक्ताश्न प्रभवन्त: शरासनात् | एको दीर्घ इवादृश्यदाकाशे संहत: शर:,वे सभी पक्षधारी बाण-समुदाय आचार्य द्रोणके धनुषसे प्रकट हुए थे। आकाशमें उन बाणोंका समूह परस्पर सटकर एक ही विशाल बाणके समान दिखायी देता था

droṇasya pṛthukasaṅktāḥ śarāḥ prabhavantaḥ śarāsanāt |
eko dīrgha ivādṛśyad ākāśe saṃhataḥ śaraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Dari busur Droṇa terpancut segugus anak panah yang berhimpit rapat. Di langit, gugusan itu—berdesak-desakan—tampak seperti sebatang anak panah tunggal yang panjang dan raksasa.
