Virāṭa-parva, Adhyāya 40
अस्यां हि पाण्डुपुत्राणां धनूंषि निहितान्युत । युधिष्ठटिरस्य भीमस्य बीभत्सोर्यमयोस्तथा,“इसपर युधिष्ठिर, भीम, अर्जुन और नकुल-सहदेव--इन सब पाण्डवोंके धनुष रखे हुए हैं
asyāṃ hi pāṇḍuputrāṇāṃ dhanūṃṣi nihitāny uta | yudhiṣṭhirasya bhīmasya bībhatsor yamayos tathā ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Sesungguhnya, di tempat inilah busur-busur putera-putera Pāṇḍu disimpan—busur Yudhiṣṭhira, Bhīma, Bībhatsu (Arjuna), serta kedua saudara kembar (Nakula dan Sahadeva).”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is upheld not only through valor but through disciplined timing: the Pāṇḍavas keep their weapons concealed during incognito exile, showing restraint, prudence, and readiness without provoking premature conflict.
The narrator identifies that the Pāṇḍavas’ bows are stored in this specific place—belonging to Yudhiṣṭhira, Bhīma, Arjuna (Bībhatsu), and the twins Nakula and Sahadeva—highlighting their hidden preparedness while living undiscovered in Virāṭa’s realm.
