Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)

अन्यस्मिन्‌ प्रेष्यमाणे तु पुरस्ताद्‌ यः समुत्पतेत्‌ । अहं कि करवाणीति स राजवसतिं वसेत्‌,जब दूसरेको किसी कार्यके लिये भेजा जा रहा हो, उस समय जो स्वयं ही उठकर आगे जाय और पूछे--*मेरे लिये क्या आज्ञा है", वही राजभवनमें निवास कर सकता है

anyasmin preṣyamāṇe tu purastād yaḥ samutpatet | ahaṃ kiṃ karavāṇīti sa rājavasatiṃ vaset ||

Dhaumya berkata: “Apabila orang lain sedang diutus menjalankan tugas, sesiapa yang segera bangkit, melangkah ke hadapan terlebih dahulu, lalu bertanya, ‘Apakah perintah untukku?’—dialah yang layak tinggal di istana raja.”
