Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)

यस्य कोपो महाबाध: प्रसादश्ष महाफल: । कस्तस्य मनसापीच्छेदनर्थ प्राज्ञसम्मत:,जिसका क्रोध बड़ा भारी संकट उपस्थित कर देता है और जिसकी प्रसन्नता महान्‌ फल-श्वर्य-भोग देनेवाली है, उस राजाका कौन बुद्धिमान्‌ पुरुष मनसे भी अनिष्ट साधन करना चाहेगा?

yasya kopo mahābādhaḥ prasādaś ca mahāphalaḥ | kas tasya manasāpi icched anarthaṃ prājña-sammataḥ ||

“Jika kemurkaan baginda mendatangkan bencana besar, dan perkenan baginda mengurniakan ganjaran yang agung—siapakah orang bijaksana yang, walau dalam fikiran sekalipun, mahu berhasrat mencelakakan raja sedemikian?”
