Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके २६ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल २५३ “लोक हैं।) #++ # ० ()) अपन असल ३. इस प्रसंगमें अर्जुनने अपनेको षण्ढक और बृहन्नला कहा है। षण्ढक शब्दका अर्थ है नपुंसक। अर्जुन इस समय उर्वशीके शापसे नपुंसक हो गये थे। बृहन्नलाका मूल शब्द बृहन्नल है। विद्वानोंने 'रर और “ल” को एक-सा माना है; अतः बृहन्नलका अर्थ बृहन्नर अर्थात् श्रेष्ठ या महान् मानव है। भगवान् नारायणके सखा होनेके कारण अर्जुन नरश्रेष्ठ हैं ही। २. परिचारिकाका एक अर्थ है सेविका और दूसरा अर्थ है सब ओर विचरण करनेवाली। इस प्रकार अर्जुनने गूढ़ अभिप्राययुक्त परिचारिका शब्दद्वारा अपनेको द्रौपदीका पति सूचित किया है। - नकुलने अपना नाम ग्रन्थिक बताया और अपनेको अश्वोंका अधिकारी कहा है। ग्रन्थिकका अर्थ है आयुर्वेद तथा अध्वर्युविद्यासम्बन्धी ग्रन्थोंको जाननेवाला। श्रुतिमें अश्विनीकुमारोंको देवताओंका वैद्य तथा अध्वर्यु कहा गया है। 'अश्विनौ वै देवाना भिषजावश्चिनावध्वर्यू” | नकुल अश्विनीकुमारोंके पुत्र हैं; अतः उनका अपनेको ग्रन्थिक कहना उपयुक्त ही है। “नास्ति श्वो येषां ते अश्वा: जिनके कलतक जीवित रहनेकी आशा न हो
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | karmāpy uktāni yuṣmābhir yāni yāni kariṣyatha | mama cāpi yathā buddhir ucitā vidhiniścayāt ||
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Kamu semua telah menyatakan, seorang demi seorang, tugas yang akan kamu pikul ketika tinggal di rumah tangga Virāṭa. Aku juga telah menyebut apa yang pada pertimbanganku tampak wajar. Nampaknya demikianlah ketetapan takdir.”
