शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
अर्जुनके द्वारा पकड़ लिये जानेपर विराटपुत्र उत्तर बड़ी दीनताके साथ आर्तकी भाँति विलाप करने लगा ।। उत्तर उवाच शृणुयास्त्वं हि कल्याणि बृहन्नले सुमध्यमे । निवर्तय रथं क्षिप्रं जीवन् भद्राणि पश्यति,उत्तर बोला--सुन्दर कटिवाली कल्याणमयी बृहन्नले! तुम मेरी बात सुनो। मेरे रथको शीघ्र लौटाओ; क्योंकि मनुष्य जीवित रहे, तो वह अनेक बार मंगल देखता है
uttara uvāca | śṛṇuyās tvaṁ hi kalyāṇi bṛhannale sumadhyame | nivartaya rathaṁ kṣipraṁ jīvan bhadrāṇi paśyati ||
Setelah ditangkap oleh Arjuna, Uttara, putera Virāṭa, meratap dengan amat hina seperti orang yang ditenggelami ketakutan. Dia berkata: “Wahai Bṛhannalā yang membawa tuah, wahai yang berpinggang ramping, dengarkanlah aku. Pusingkan kereta ini segera. Selagi seseorang masih hidup, dia masih boleh melihat keberuntungan sekali lagi.”
