शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
सारूप्यमर्जुनस्येव क्लीबरूपं बिभर्ति च | तदेवैतच्छिरो ग्रीवं तौ बाहू परिघोपमौ । तद्वदेवास्य विक्रान्तं नायमन्यो धनंजयात्
sārūpyam arjunasyeva klībarūpaṃ bibharti ca | tadevaitacchiro grīvaṃ tau bāhū parighopamau | tadvadevāsy vikrāntaṃ nāyam anyo dhanañjayāt |
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Walaupun dia memikul rupa seorang kasim, bentuk tubuhnya persis seperti Arjuna. Inilah kepala dan leher itu, dan kedua-dua lengannya seperti belantan besi—keperkasaannya pun sama. Dia bukan orang lain selain Dhanañjaya (Arjuna).”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Outer appearance can conceal inner reality; true character and capability reveal identity. The verse underscores discernment—recognizing virtue and strength even when dharma requires concealment.
The speaker points out that despite the eunuch-like disguise, the physical marks and heroic prowess match Arjuna’s, concluding that the person in question is none other than Dhanañjaya.
