Draupadī’s Grief at Seeing the Heroes in Disguise (द्रौपदी-विषादः / वेष-परिभव-वर्णनम्)
उपास्ते सम सभायां यं कृत्स्ना वीर वसुन्धरा । तमुपासीनमप्यन्यं पश्य भारत भारतम्,वीर! पहले राजसभामें समस्त भूमण्डलके लोग जिनकी सब ओरसे उपासना करते थे, भारत! अब उन्हीं भूरतवंशशिरोमणिको आज दूसरे राजाकी सभामें बैठे देख लो
upāste sama sabhāyāṃ yaṃ kṛtsnā vīra vasundharā | tam upāsīnam apy anyaṃ paśya bhārata bhāratam vīra |
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai wira, wahai Bhārata! Lihatlah Bhārata itu—dia yang dahulu seluruh bumi memuliakannya sama rata dalam balairung raja—kini duduk di istana raja lain sebagai seorang yang terpaksa menunduk memberi hormat.”
